ABOUT THE CITY
Pomorie is a town in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in District Bourgas and is near the town of Nessebar. The city is an administrative center.
The town was founded as a Greek colony named Anhialo at the end of the V century BC. Most of its inhabitants were Thracians. Since its inception, until the beginning of the last century, Pomorie is one of the most important coastal cities in Bulgaria.
SIGHTSEEINGS
There are many unique old churches - two of them date from the nineteenth century.
Monastery of St. George the Victorious- you can find there stone relief of St. George.
Domed tomb mausoleum (III-IV century) - very interesting funnel design. It is open to visitors.
